Looking Back: The Lamborghini Espada
Fifty years ago, Lamborghini released the Espada, which was in production for ten years from 1968 to 1978. In that decade, 1,300 Espadas were produced in three series (S1, S2, and S3). It’s one of the most sought-after classic Lamborghini vehicles.
The team at Lamborghini is in the process of restoring a classic Espada with a blue exterior and a mustard interior. The luxury brand explained, “Owned by Automobili Lamborghini, once finished in May 2018 it is destined for the factory’s classic fleet and for display in the Lamborghini Museum. During the ten-month project, the chassis, body, electrical system and mechanics of the Espada have been fully overhauled, returning it to its original lines according to the original production sheet preserved in the Polo Storico archive, and using exclusively Lamborghini Original Spare Parts.”

indiGO Auto Group’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Finishes 13th in the Legendary Rolex 24 At Daytona
Outstanding performance part of a historic day for Lamborghini in endurance racing
Todd Blue, Founder and CEO of indiGO Auto Group, with award-winning dealerships in Houston, TX; Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage, CA; and St. Louis, MO; announced today that a Lamborghini Huracan GT3, racing under indiGO Auto Group sponsorship, finished an outstanding 13th in the GT Daytona class at the historic Rolex 24 at Daytona during the weekend of January 27-28.
“This was a great weekend for indiGO Auto Group, along with our partners GRT Grasser Racing and Lamborghini,” Mr. Blue said. “It was a great thrill to see a car carrying our name perform so magnificently under such demanding conditions in one of the world’s great races.”
The #19 car, one of two entrants in the GRT Grasser Racing Team, started in 47th position, at the rear of the grid, but made an impressive surge into the top 15 during the grueling 24 hours of racing. The team completed 739 laps on the 3.56 mile combined road course, which utilizes part of the legendary tri-oval used for NASCAR’s Daytona 500 and an infield road course.
In addition to its 13th place finish in the GT Daytona class, the indiGO Auto Group car finished 33rd overall. The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 was part of the GRT Grasser Racing Team, owned by Gottfried Grasser. The team’s other car finished first in its GTD class, marking the first 24-hour class win for Lamborghini. The team also recently posted a 3rd place finish at the 24 Hours of Dubai, in another of the world’s most challenging endurance races.
Lamborghini Experiences A Record Year In 2017
Lamborghini has experienced a record-breaking year in 2017. The brand recently increased worldwide sales by an outstanding 10% from 3,456 to 3,815 deliveries, demonstrating just how much drivers love the exotic, luxury Lamborghini vehicles.

Lamborghini’s Production Milestones
This October marked the six-year production anniversary of Lamborghini’s Aventador, and the brand is pleased to announce that they have produced 7,000 units in that timeframe. Lamborghini adds, “Chassis number 7,000 is an Aventador S Roadster, which was launched at the international auto show in Frankfurt in September. The jubilee model in Grigio Adamas rolled off the assembly line destined for the US American market.” Additionally, the Huracan has been in production for three years now, and Lamborghini has created 9,000 of these models. Roger Dubuis has unveiled the new Lamborghini Excalibur Aventador S watch. This watch is the first dedicated to this new partnership.
There will be two different models of this timepiece available. One of the models uses multi-layered carbon and the other model uses C-SMC, which is the same technology that is used in Lamborghini cars.
The model with the C-SMC technology will come in Arancio Argos (orange) and will be a limited edition of only 8 pieces created. While the multi-layered carbon model will come in Giallo Orion (yellow) and will be limited to 88 pieces.
According to Roger Dubuis, this watch works at a 2 x 4 hz frequency, making it more resistant to gravity. Therefore, it has higher precision.

Lamborghini Urus is Named After the Most Fearsome Bull
The Urus, is particularly named after Auroch, which is the biggest and most fearsome bull. It is the ancestor of the present-day bull, which went extinct in 1627. The Auroch was massive, ranging from 61 to 71 inches tall at the shoulders and weighing in at 1,500 pounds. So it is not a stretch to say the Urus is surely going to have incredible power.
