Lamborghini Urus Houston Texas

The Lamborghini Urus is Coming to Houston, Texas

The long-awaited Lamborghini Urus is coming to Lamborghini in Houston, Texas. Urus is the first SUV that will soon be launched by Lamborghini. Ever since its founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, who is a Taurean, chose a bull as his company’s emblem, it has been a tradition to name the cars after famous fighting bulls or breeds. Lamborghini Urus is Named After the Most Fearsome Bull The Urus, is particularly named after Auroch, which is the biggest and most fearsome bull. It is the ancestor of the present-day bull, which went extinct in 1627. The Auroch was massive, ranging from 61 to 71 inches tall at the shoulders and weighing in at 1,500 pounds. So it is not a stretch to say the Urus is surely going to have incredible power. According to Auto Guide Urus will be the fastest production SUV to ever lap the venerable German circuit. more The fastest SUV to ever lap the 12.9-mile Nordschleife was the last-generation Porsche Cayenne Turbo S which hustled its way around the Eiffel circuit in 7:59.74. According to Lamborghini, Urus will be faster. Lamborghini's research and development chief Maurizio Reggiani says, “Our SUV will achieve more than 300 kph (187 mph) because it’s a Lamborghini. It’s our DNA. (We will) achieve the best lap time for an SUV on Nordschleife—this is a faster SUV.” Although the public has not seen Urus yet, there have been a few valuable hints coming in from its test mule. Top Speed says the "camouflaged prototype sports a swoopy roofline, beefed-up rear wheel arches, wide side skirts, and a pointy nose." However, Lamborghini altered quite a few elements when it prepared the concept for production. Lamborghini is ready to launch what they call the first "super sport utility vehicle" in December 2017. Stay tuned to Lamborghini Houston to take a look at or schedule a test drive with the Urus. Lamborghini Huracan Performante Sets Nurburgring Record

Lamborghini enthusiasts now have even more to rave about when it comes to the performance of the luxury brand. The Huracan Performante has surpassed the Porsche 918 Spyder by setting a new lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The Huracan Performante's new lap record is six minutes and 52 seconds. The vehicle, set to debut at the Geneva Auto Show, has received nothing but accolades from automotive experts. The team at MotorTrend writes, "The part of the Performante that’s going to excite you supercar lovers the most is ALA. That’s short for Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva, and the folks from Sant’Agata have just patented it because ALA is an entirely new way to do active aerodynamics. That isn’t all that’s improved, though. Power is up! And that’s always a good thing. Especially when your garden variety Huracán is capable of producing “only” 602 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque from its 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V-10. For Performante duty, the engine gets new intake and exhaust camshafts, an air intake borrowed from the gentlemen racer Super Trofeo Huracáns, and a new exhaust system that relieves backpressure. The result is 25 to 40 more horsepower and an additional 30 lb-ft of torque. Assume that final numbers will be between 625 and 640 hp and 453 lb-ft of torque. They’re still working out the details. The seven-speed dual-clutch transmission has also been re-optimized for crisper, smarter shifts. The last time we tested a Huracán, it hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. Expect the Performante to be quicker." Speaking of the car's various modes and stability control settings, Lorenzo Rinaldi, Automobili Lamborghini’s Head of Vehicle Dynamics, said in a recent interview, "Sport is dedicated to make the car feel a little loose and tail-happy. For the fastest lap times, however, you’re better off in Corsa. It is more focused and sharper overall. Alternatively, you can of course switch off stability control altogether." Introducing the Rear-Wheel Drive Spyder

Lamborghini is thrilled to announce the new Huracán Rear-Wheel Drive Spyder, a more aggressive and dynamic vehicle than ever before. The model was created to emulate the lifestyle of a convertible while maintaining the advanced motoring technologies of the original Huracán. Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stefano Domenicali said, “ It offers the lifestyle appeal of open-air motoring with the pure thrill of rear-wheel drive engineering. This is a Lamborghini for those with a passion for life and the purest driving experience on the open road. It’s also a Huracán for those entering the Lamborghini family, wanting a true Spyder experience without compromising on the performance and dynamic handling of a rear-wheel drive car.” The new and improved model features an out-of-this-world design showing off large front air intakes and specially contoured steel brakes with aluminum brake disc pots. Designing the exterior in such a manner assists in the weight reduction of the Spyder and improves the vehicle’s cooling capacity. The V10 5.2-liter engine produces the power of 580 horses to the rear axle, taking the car from 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds. No matter if the top is up or down, the exhilarating experience does not change. The RWD Spyder’s hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber chassis is complemented by springs and anti-roll bars on double-wishbone suspension, optimized for two-wheel drive. This Lamborghini is making its way into history. Keeping Your Lamborghini Cool This Summer

It’s never ideal to leave your Lamborghini sitting in the hot sun, but occasionally it’s unavoidable. After just an hour and a half, a Lamborghini’s inside temperature is, on average, 48-degrees hotter than the outside climate. So, on a 95-degree day, your vehicle's cabin will probably be close to 143 degrees. How can you prevent your car’s interior from becoming unbearably hot? Take a look at these tips to keep your Bull cool all summer long. Consider a windshield shade. A reflective protector for your front windshield can keep your car nearly 40-degrees cooler than outside temperatures, according to AutoAnything.com. Order a custom shade to fit your Lamborghini’s windshield measurements. Follow the sun’s position. If you do have a windshield shade, it’s best to park facing the sun so that it can reflect the majority of the rays. If you don’t have a shade, park with the sun at your car’s bumper to keep the steering wheel and driver’s seat from becoming too hot. Opt for shade. While parking in a garage or climate-controlled space is ideal, in any outdoor parking situation, it’s best to choose a shady spot, even if you have to walk further to reach your destination. Also consider moving your car throughout the day (as the sun shifts in the sky) to avoid direct exposure. Crack the windows. A car sitting in the sun essentially becomes a greenhouse, trapping heat inside the small cabin. Cracking windows can prevent heat from building up by allowing some hot air to escape. These simple steps can keep your car cooler and make your commute in your Lamborghini all that much more enjoyable. To test drive a new Lamborghini, visit indiGO Auto Group’s Lamborghini Houston.

Lamborghini Opens Carbon Fiber Research Facility in Seattle

Lamborghini’s Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory Opens in Seattle

In its 30th year of using carbon-fiber reinforced polymer in its vehicles, Lamborghini has opened a research center dedicated to the study of this important material. The Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory (ACSL) celebrated a grand opening last Tuesday at the new facility in Seattle, Washington. Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini explained, “Carbon fiber is a material that Lamborghini has a long history with. Starting with the Countach Quattrovalvole and continuing today, it is one of the most important keys to the success of our cars in the past, present, and future.” The research in Seattle will focus on perfecting Forged Composites and minimizing the production time of carbon-fiber materials. Lamborghini chose Seattle specifically for the company’s connection to Boeing, as the car manufacturer intends to collaborate with the airline producer, making carbon-fiber technological advances together. Happy to welcome the new laboratory to Seattle, Washington’s governor Jay Inslee described, “Seattle is a nexus for innovation, and Lamborghini’s choice to base its carbon-fiber research center here reflects that. Lamborghini’s Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory, their continued success in developing breakthrough technology, and their collaboration with Boeing is a benefit and a point of pride for the city and the state of Washington.” We’re eager to see what new discoveries Lamborghini makes in the future to make their cars safer, faster, and more reliable. Stop in today at indiGO Auto Group’s Lamborghini Houston to drive a Lamborghini manufactured with carbon-fiber technology.

Lamborghini Presents Huracán At The 2016 Beijing Motorshow

Lamborghini presented its expanded Huracán model range at the 14th Beijing International Motorshow. The Lamborghini Huracán LP 580-2 is the two-wheel drive version of the V10 coupé. Specifically designed and engineered for its rear-wheel drive set-up, the Huracán LP 580-2 combines dynamic new looks with a package for enhanced Lamborghini driving emotion. Alongside the two-wheel drive version, Lamborghini is showing the Huracán LP 610-4 Avio: produced in a run of only 250, this special edition’s name, colors and materials pay tribute to the world of aviation and aeronautics. Also displayed is the open top version of the Huracán LP 610-4, which combines the power and performance of the coupé with the emotion of open air driving. The Huracán Spyder stands for inspiring technology, outstanding quality, and breathtaking performance. Luxurious comfort with a pure and dynamic design ensures the convertible version of the Huracán is an iconic Lamborghini in its own right. The Huracán LP 580-2 has been engineered and tuned for an essential driving experience: its naturally aspirated V10 5.2 l engine sending 426 kW / 580 hp to the rear axle and its dry weight is just 1,389 kg. The Huracán LP 610-4 Avio has all the technical specifications that have made the Huracán a great success: aspirated 610 HP, 5.2 liter, V10 engine; 7-speed gearbox with double clutch; hybrid chassis in aluminum and carbon fiber; a power/weight ratio of only 2.33 kilograms per hp and breathtaking performance: 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds and a maximum speed of over 325 km/h. Driven by the same V10 engine, the Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 324 km/h (201 mp/h). The most distinctive feature of the Huracán Spyder is its new soft top. The roof is available in three different colors: black, brown and red. Even with the roof up, the lines of the Spyder differ significantly from those of the coupé. The new hidden automatic pop-up safety bars do not spoil the open car’s low silhouette. The new electrohydraulic, lightweight soft top opens via a button positioned on the central tunnel in just 17 seconds up to a driving speed of 50 km/h (31 mph). Whether the soft top is up or down, the driver can also electronically open the rear window, which functions as a windshield when closed and when open, as an amplifier of the unique engine sound of the naturally aspirated V10. The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio Debuted At The Geneva Auto Show

In case you missed it, the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Avio made its debut this month at the Geneva Motor Show. Produced in a run of only 250, this special edition’s name, colors and materials pay tribute to the world of aviation and aeronautics. From the outset, Lamborghini has been inspired by powerful fighter jets, from which it has borrowed technological, aerodynamic, ergonomic and stylistic solutions. References to the aeronautical world in Lamborghini's current product line include digital instrument clusters; controls located on the center console as in airplane cockpits; the red engine ‘start’ button; the tight stylistic language of exterior lines; and a broad range of matt exterior finishes. The new Huracán Avio offers a host of premium functional features in its standard configuration including lifting system, cruise control and GPS*. But the true uniqueness of the Avio lies in its interior and exterior finishes. White or grey painted details contrast with the body color and enhance exterior details such as the tops of the side member, the side view mirrors and the lip on the front spoiler. A double stripe, again in white or grey, runs along the roof and down the front bonnet. The door panels further identify the special Avio version with the logo L63, where L stands for Lamborghini and ‘63 is the year the company was founded. A tricolor cockade, the symbol distinguishing nationality used in aeronautics, is placed between the letter and the number. The Huracán Avio is available in five new color variants, specifically developed for this model: the standard color of Grigio Falco with pearlescent finish, and four optional matt colors: Blu Grifo, Grigio Nibbio, Grigio Vulcano and Verde Turbine. The colors’ names are taken from the coats-of-arms representing courses at the Italian Air Force Academy. Lamborghini’s Ad Personam customization program allows owners to choose from further color and trim options not included as standard. The interiors alternate black leather with a special Alcantara, which is also in black but boasts a laser-engraved hexagonal motif, available for the first time on the Avio.  The material covers the central section of the seat, the armrest, the knee support and part of the door panel, and is enhanced with contrasting stitching in white. The L63 logo is embroidered by hand onto the sides of the seats. The interior color and trim can also be customized through the Ad Personam program. Underscoring the exclusivity of this new special edition is a hand-enameled plate on the driver's side window. The Avio has all the technical specifications that have made the Huracán a great success: aspirated 610 HP, 5.2 liter, V10 engine; 7-speed gearbox with double clutch; hybrid chassis in aluminum and carbon fiber; a power/weight ratio of only 2.33 kilograms per hp and breathtaking performance: 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds and a maximum speed of over 325 km/h.  The Avio is scheduled to reach dealers' showrooms in the summer of 2016.
